MOSCOW, April 11 (Itar-Tass) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has set a very tight deadline for the Russian space agency Roskosmos to say what is to be done to re-equip the national space rocket industry, the agency’s chief, Anatoly Perminov, told.
“After Friday’s meeting of the Security Council, which considered the basics of Russia’s policy in the sphere of space activity till the year 2020 and beyond the president issued the instruction to draft within a ten-day deadline a list of proposals for upgrading space rocket industries in general,” Perminov said. Also, the Security Council looked at all aspects of Russia’s space activity, first and foremost, the condition of manned space programs and of the global satellite navigation system GLONASS.
